Victor Ianno Sr., president and CEO of Lakeside Printing, Inc., Skaneateles, New York, has sold the assets of the company to Scotsman Press, Inc., Syracuse, according to John Cribb and Tom Karavakis, Bolitho-Cribb & Associates, who represented the Iannos in the transaction.

Lakeside Printing, Inc. is the publisher of twenty-five weekly Pennysaver publications with 137,000 circulation. The papers operate out of five offices located in Skaneateles, Marathon, Manlius, Seneca Falls, and Moravia, and serve a geographic area roughly bordering Syracuse on the East, South, and West. The company also publishes a number of specialty publications and operates a substantial web printing and sheet fed printing operation. Lakeside Printing, Inc. is 50 years old and has 120 employees.

“This is an awesome graphic arts and publication marriage that will do nothing but benefit the employees and the Syracuse community,” said Vic Ianno of the deal.

The acquiring company, Scotsman Press, is a publishing and printing company with nearly 200,000 weekly free paper circulation in the Syracuse market. Scotsman is owned by Badoud Communications, Inc. which is based in Cape Coral, Florida. John Badoud, president and CEO of Badoud Communications, commented, “I am very pleased with the acquisition of the Lakeside operations. This combo makes a lot of sense for our Syracuse market area publications.”

Bolitho-Cribb & Associates is a publishing company brokerage firm with offices in Montana, Florida, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
