Hale Group Publications has been sold to the Morris MultiMedia Group, according to Tom Karavakis of Cribb & Associates, who represented the seller Bill Hale in this transaction.
Hale Group Publications, Inc. is located in Lancaster, Wisconsin, and the mastheads serve Grant County and portions of Crawford, Richland, Lafayette and Iowa counties.
Included in the sale are the following six weekly publications:
The Boscobel Dial is one of the state’s largest weeklies, with a paid circulation of over 5,900. The Fennimore Times (1,800 circ.) and the Tri-County Press (2,400 circ.) are each about 110 years old. They are both strong papers with good local readership and advertiser loyalty. The Crawford County Independent and the Kickapoo Scout (2,300 circ.), located in Gays Mills, is a more rural paper and still exhibits strong readership. The two shoppers within Hale Group Publications, The Reminder (16,000 circ.) in Lancaster and The Round-Up (6,600 circ.) in Cuba City, have been published for over 40 years. Two printing companies, Grantland Graphics and Grant Publishers Inc. were also included in the sale.
Cribb & Associates is the oldest newspaper brokerage and appraisal firm in the United States with offices in Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Florida.
